The Beginning

My name is Thomas R. Pierce, you can call me Tom. I was born in Newark, Ohio (30 miles East of Columbus) on September 12th, 1961. I am number six in the line of seven children that my parents Roger and Helen brought into this world and raised. Both my parents and all 7 of us children still live here in the Newark area. My "real job" is a professional Multimedia Specialist, but as you'll find in this site, I've been involved in quite a few other things as well.
Growing up Pierce

All 7 Pierce kids with Mom and DadMy brothers and sisters from 1st to last are Lowry, Bob, Mary Ann, Mike, Debbie, (then me) and lastly my little sister Janice, who was born on my Dad's 40th birthday. With a span of approximately 20 years from first born to last, my parents were kept quite busy all their life. With numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren now, every holiday get-together is a major undertaking.

Backing up a bit again, we moved out into the countryside when I was about 10 years into a new house only 4 houses from where I live today. Growing up I spent a lot of my time in the nearby woods and fields which is probably why I have such a love for the outdoors and hunting. Also at an early age, I began developing my passion for art of all kinds and started to hone my skills as an artist.

Moving on
I graduated from Lakewood High School in 1979 and immediately began working the following week at my first job, a local printing company. This began my 25 year journey through learning the printing industry and eventually graphic design.

My beautiful wife LindaOn September 17th, 1993 I married my lovely wife Linda who was from Columbus. At that time, I sold my house and Linda and I moved here into our current home only a few doors down from my parents, where I grew up. Almost 10 years later, my parents moved across town to a new Condo, so they left the neighborhood to our watch. Linda's parents, George and Pat Buzby, lived in Ocala, Florida until recently moving back here to live in Newark.

Linda has an older brother, George, and a younger brother and sister, Chuck and Cheryl, who are twins. They all live within an hour's drive from us.

Linda and I were never blessed with children but we did raise our little sweetheart "Misty", a 13" beagle for 14 years before she passed away. Being an "only child" she was quite spoiled and it was very difficult for us when we lost her. One day we hope to get a new dog, but for now our lives have become too busy and complicated.

Hobbies and Interests

I've always been the kind of person to try out new things and often become very engrossed in some sort of new hobby or interest. Art and design has always been my first and most passionate interest, one that probably defines me more than anything. However I've tried out quite a few things that I spent a number of years engaging in, many of which I still do today. Here's a list of some of the crazy and not so crazy things that I've spent my life dabbling in...

Me slammin' wakes on my Jet Ski

It probably looks to you like I'm either very busy all the time or easily distracted, but I like to think of myself as "diversified." My past and present hobbies and interests have given me a life without boredom and opportunities to experience many things, go many places and meet some very interesting people. If you spend some time browsing this site, you can learn more about my current interests and what I've been up to lately. You never know what I might be into next!

My Faith

At the early age of 13 years old, I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior and he has been with me seeing me through many a tragedy and hardship as well as laughing alongside me through the good times. My wife and I attend Spring Hills Baptist Church in Granville, Ohio along with my parents.

God has been very good to us and blesses us in more ways than I can say. At the end of the day, none of my hobbies and interests really mean anything compared to the relationship I share with Christ. If you haven't accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I hope that you will consider searching him out as he truly loves you and wants to be a part of your life.

“For God so loved the world that he
gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but
have eternal life.” – John 3:16
