Meet Bindi & Coco, our two little adopted furry family members. These two characters were rescue dogs we adopted on July 1, 2008 from the "From Heaven to Earth Rescue" shelter after we located them through Petfinder.com. We knew we wanted to adopt rescue dogs this time and decided to find two dogs from the same litter. After a lot of searching we found these two little rascals who were listed ast "Beagle-Terrier" mixes.

When we went to see them for the first time in New Philadelphia, Ohio, we fell in love with them at first sight and took them home with us on the spot. Since that day our lives have never been quite the same... they can be quite a handful at times but they are loads of fun and we wouldn't trade them for anything. Visit this page frequently to keep up on their latest adventures and see what they're up to!

Bindi

"Hi there, my name is Bindi (aka "the black one") and I was named after Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Steve Irwin (the infamous Crocodile Hunter).

Everyone thought I was going to grow up to be a Rottweiller cause I looked so much like one as a puppy, but I'm not. I'm a Beagle - Jack Russell Terrier mix. I love to play fetch, chew bones and watch "The Dog Whisperer" on TV."

Coco

"Hi, I'm Bindi's sister Coco (aka "the brown one")... allthough I looked just like a little German Shepard pup as a tike, I too am a Beagle - Jack Russell Terrier mix.

I jump a lot and like to wrestle with my sister Bindi. I'm definitely happiest when I am rough-housing with sis or Dad, and love to have my belly rubbed."

The older these girls get, the more they change. Bindi is acting and sounding more like a Beagle as she ages... her markings have slowly changed also. Coco hasn't changed as much in appearance, but she is acting more like a Jack Russell all the time. She is much more energetic and is demonstrating some of the jumping skills of the Jack Russell breed.

Both of them have a short smooth coat very much like a Beagle, but completely different markings. They both show the white feet, forelegs and belly that most beagles have, but Bindi has "floppy ears" much like Beagles and Coco has perky "stand-up ears". Both were surprisingly born with short/bobbed tails.
